Successful completion of the class is required for application for the LTC A or FID firearm license. The course is a blend of classroom lecture and hands on instruction that focuses on basic pistol skills with actual firearms and inert practice ammunition to help students master safe firearm handling and manipulation skills. This class also helps students understand the fundamentals of pistol accuracy. The second part of the course is a live fire experience and students will have the opportunity to shoot a pistol qualification and be ranked based on their level of shooting proficiency.
